April, 2008 - We have officially started up plans for a new Church Building! This is an exciting time for us here at Battle Lake, indeed!

May 15th, 2011 Official Sod Turning!

(Eph 3:20-21) Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (21) to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.


It was a blustery day indeed but that didn't deter our congregation from holding this monmumental event! The wind was indeed God's blessing as it kept a good portion of the mosquitoes from landing.
Pastor Rick Williams delivered an enthusiastic speach focused on 'Giving The Glory to God'.
"We are gathered together this morning as a Christian covenant community. That means our starting point is God. And, not just our starting point but our ending point and every point in between as well. As a Christian covenant community we want to focus on God and not just ourselves. We want to bring glory to God and not glory to man."

Past Chairman of the Board, Don Harink then gave a poignant message from the heart reminding us to focus on what is important...that it is not about us... not about our wants and needs, and that this building plan be met with co-operation, understanding, faith, and above all, to let God be in charge.

The official groundbreaking began with a lot of cheers and clapping, and the Battle Lake Community Baptist Church's new building project is underway!
